Jnspcctor Wright agreed to withdraw the charges of illegally selling, defendant pleading, as a technical breach, keeping liquor for sale. The inspector t'ated that tlio official list showed that defendant had received 3.18 bottles within three months. Tho medical proscriptions handed to tho polico accounted for only TG bottles. T'lio magistrate said defendant had grossly abused tho section of the Act governing the dispensing of liquor by chemist's. A fino of .£25 was imposed, with costs. , This is tho first caso of tho kind in the Dominion.
