TO DENOUNCE MILITARISM.
SIXTEEN ASSEMBLE. Eleven men, four women, and a boy attended an anti-militarist meeting called for last evening to discuss the compulsory military training scheme. Mr. C. ,f. Pi'aff occupied (ho elinir. and addresses trere delivered by Dr. Couzens and Mr. G. Dee. Both speakers stated that, in their opinion, present indications pointed to great changes in regard to ('ho defcuco scheme. At th.e conclusion of the mooting they were accorded votes of thanks and it was announced that other meet-, ings will bo held at future dates.
