Anglo-Colonial Wedding. At St. Peter's Sheldon, Teignraouth (Devon) on September 6, says an English exchange, the marriage was celebrated of Mr. G. F. K. Adams, of the Indian Civil
Service, fonrth son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Adams, of Lower Hutt (Wellington), and Miss Muriel Lucas, daughter of the late General Sir Alfred Lucas and Lady Lucas. The Rev. A. C.' Vorks, assisted by the Rev. R. Marsh Dunn, officiated, and, after the wedding, a reception was held at Danmore by Lady Lucas. Nurse Eveiett (Wellington) is visiting Auckland. Mrs. A. J. Edmunds (Auckland), after taking part in the golf championships, spent a few days in Wellington as the pest of Mrs. E. G. Pilcher, tho Terrace. Sho bos now returned home. Mrs. C. F. Vallnncc (Kahumingi) arrived in town yesterday. Airs. IlutchinEon (her sister) is also visiting Wellington. Miss Wardell is staying with Mrs. H. Holmes, Matakiwi (Masterton).. Mrs. Cox, who took part in tho golf championship meeting, returned to Timaru on Monday.' Miss Welters (Oarterton) is a visitor to Wellington. Misj Ruth Salmond returned to Dunodin on Monday. Miss Tolhurst is expected to return from a visit to Australia by the Sydney boat to-day. Miss Malcolm, sister of Mrs. J. D. Crnickshank, of Wellington, who is wl'.l known in scholastic institutions through- ' t ont the Dominion, died at tho Masterton Hospital yesterday. Mrs. T. G.
