FATALITY AT BIDEFORD. (By Telegraph.— Snecial CorresDomlent.) Masterton, October 17. Wtn. Bryant, 80 j-cars of aj:e, was found dead in Hie Taneru River n.t Bideiord at :m early hour tliis morning. Deceased had evidently slipped on tho bank of tlio river, ami in falling had struck his head on a log and been rendered lincinsciciis, and them drowned. At tho inquest this afternoon a verdict was returatei of death by misadventure. Deceased had been employed on Bovriands Station for forty years. VERY PATITF/riC EVENT. Auckland, October 17.
