Tho report of tho Pacific Cablo Board for tho year ended March 31 last shows that a credit balance of .£29,334 was available to help to meet flic niumity ot .£77,514 provided by tho Imperial and Dominion Governments. Tho receipts totalled .£133,077, of which, sum .£136,142 was not traflic revenue. Tho credit tahmce is .£11,378 above tho previous year's. Of tho balance, JJ22.255 represented new business, which was counterbalanced by X15.57G of now expenditure. Tho estimated receipts for tho current year aro .£141,000, and the estimated working expenses .£110,975. Tho renewal fund now stands at .£2G4,20G. In addition to its reserves tho company has .£15,915 worth of cables in its stores in hand. The international traffic over tho cable in its first year totalled 8G4.9G9 words, including press messages of 371,319 words. Last year's total was 1,549,G13 words, including press messages of 1C7.495 words.
