Tho vessel loft Gisborne at midnight last Friday for Auckland, via Tolagn Bay, and, in thp ordinary course, should have arrived here on Saturday ni.'ht or early on Sunday morninpr. Tho steamer Victoria passed tho Squall in the vicinity of Heronry Bay on Sunday morning. On several occasions lately the Squall has made protracted passages, but the present voyage is much longer than any previous trips, 'ilie Kontunni and Kahu, of tho Richardson Line, aro also making Ion" pusBases from the south, while tho Italian ship Australia is fifteen days out from Wellington to Auckland.
fho barqiicntino Mary Isabel is now forty days out from Whnngape to Sydney, but it is not considered that this famishes any cause for alarm. Long voyages by ; sailing vessels aro frequent.
