BOYS' LEAGUE.

A meeting of delegates of tho Wellington Boys' Cricket League was held last night. Mr. W. Walton (in tho absence of the president, Br. Izard) occupied tho chair. Thero was a good attendance of delegates. Correspondence was read from the Town Clerk, notifving the league that pitches had been allotted on the different reserves by tho City Council. A vote of thanks was passed to the council. The election of a vice-president in place <)f Mr. C. P. Coloneus (resigned) resulted in Mr. J. I'. Andrews being chosen. Mr. 13. 801 l was elected to fill a vacancy on the committee. A discussion took place in connection vriih r-.rtain motions, which were as follor:—"That committee meetings bo held fprtniyhtly, instead of weekly," also, ''that no player be eligible to play in the Boys' League cricket matches after he has played in men's Saturday cricket matches after December 31." Both these motions were carried. ' During tho evening the medals for the best averages in bowling, batting, and catching were presented, the. successful bovs being:—Senior grade: Batting, P. Cross (Telegraph); bowling, E. Christopherson (Telegraph); catching, 11. C'arruthers (St. Vincent). Junior grade: Batting, D. M'GiiT (Y.M.C.A.); bowling, W. Garrad (Institute); catching, W. Mahoney (St. Aloysius).
