Mr. John Dillon, Nationalist member for East Mayo, in a speech at Portumna, in Gnhvay, said tho greatest proof that Homo Rule was coming was Sir Edward Carson's proposals tor a Provisional Govornment in Ulster. Ireland wanted a compulsory Land Act, but ho would not discuss tho matter with the landlords at a round-table conference. If the landlords withdrew their opposition to Home Kulo, and made fair terras with their tenants to sell their gvass ranches, thoy would bo treated generously. Lord Clauricardo had intimated to tho Congested Districts Board his willingness to receive a reasonable oiler for his estate.
