THE JUDGES APPOINTED. Tho following .judges'havo been appointed for tho Wairarapa and Bast Coast P. and A. Society show, which'is to bo held at Carterton on October 25 and 2G:— Light horses, H. Gaisford (Oringi, Hawke's Bay), and Ewen Campbell (Cambridge); draught horses, A. Smith (Christchurch) ; shorthorn cattle and Holstcins, \V. Taylor (To Awamutu); Ayrshires, A. Gillies (Hampden); Jerseys, J. A. M'Crea (Palmerston North); fat cattle and fat sheep, W. P. Archibald and Son (Karamu i'arin, Hastings); - Lincoln sheep, R. Uremer (Waverley); IjCicesters, English and Border, W. Welch (Dannevirke); I'omney Marsh, P. Mungavin (Porirua); Down sheep, W. Little (Argylc East), pigs, R. Perrett (Sandon); ■ sheep and cattle dogs, T. W. .M'Kenzio (Mnstertou); dogs (purebred), and poultry and pigeons, S. Johnson. (Palmerston); wool, J. B. iiairstow (Clarevillo); produce, cheese, and butter, members of Department of Agriculture; home industries, Mrs. Godber (Wellington); photography, P. Shankland (Carterton); sewing and fancywork; Mrs. Pringlo's representative (Wellington) ; school competitions, A. R. Hadiield (Carterton). A consignment of 15 draught and halfdraught horses was shipped to Sydney yesterday by Mr. P. B. Watts. Chick-rearing is not only profitable, but a pleasure, when you feed "A. and P." Chick Raiser. It is a, complete and properly-blended food for Young Chicks. Obtainable from all storekeepers.—Advt. The Wairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Society are issuing leaflets'to exhibitors giving them information on tho matter of forwarding stock to show, nnd the Railway Department's arrangements in connection therewith. This should prove a convenience to those visiting Carterton on October 25 and 2C.
