Other returns to hand show that tho lambing is quite up to the average of previous years. The treasurer reported a credit balance of ,£l2 12s. A subcommittee was authorised to expend a sum not exceeding £5 in procuring materials for sports. The headmaster reported an average attendance at tho main school of 580, at tho side school of 101, and, in tho secondary classes, of 45. St. Matthew's Club held a very successful enchro party and dance at "Murray's Hall last evening. At the Magistrate's Court to-day Thomas Adams, labourer, was charsred with koepii.g liquor for sale in a , NoLicenso i area, and also with obtaining liquor for another person without supplying to the sender the name of the said person.
