A MANAWATU LADIES' TOURNEY. (By TeleEraph— Press Association.) Palmcrston, October 13. A high wind and driving rain prevailed to-day, when the Manawatu ladies' open golf tournament was concluded. In tho semi-finals of the championshii Mrs. Guy. Williams beat Miss Pearcc i up and 3to play. Miss Gorrie beat Miss Gold 2 np. The final between Mrs. Williams and Miss G. Gorrie commenced after lunch, and in spito of tho weather both played good golf. Tho match ended, in lavoui of Mrs. Williams by 3 up and 2 to play, Tho consolation match was won b"y Miss Carter and' Miss Hamilton with SI. Miss Humphreys won the putting competition.
