Dr. Ingram, Bishop of London, in his charge to the clergy, stigmatises tho de-liberately-caused decline in tho birth-rato as a gigantic ovil. Ho urged that tho Church should give suitable teaching on the responsibilities of married life. There was, ho added, a growing selfishness in thinking firstly of creature comforts and social pleasures.
