ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS.

Wednesday night's meeting of the Wellington Accountant Students' Society took tho form of a mock examination of the officers, secretary, and auditors of a company trading under the stylo of Hides, Ltd. Dr. M'Arthur occupied the bench, and Mr. A. Blair appeared for the liquidator; .Messrs. D. Smith, JI. E. Evans, and R. Kennedy appeared as counsel for the directors, Messrs. W. C. Harrington, W. .T. Atkinson, C. E. Mazengarb, Jl. C. Kirk, and IT. D. Edwards. Messrs. C. 11. Matthews and F. A. Allen were respectively secretary and auditor. Mr. F. A. Barclay was tho liquidator. There were about sixty members present, and the discussions and examination of witnesses wero of an interesting nature.
