NOTICE 'is hereby given that a Meeting of the Karori Borough Council will bo'held at the Council Chambers on TUESDAY, the. 24th day o£ OCTOBER, 1911, at 8 o'clock p.m., when the following resolution, which was passed a*, a Special Meeting of the Council held on the 26th. dav of September, 1911. will be submitted for confirmation as a. Special Order :— WHEREAS by poll taken on tho 28th day of July, One thousand uino hundred and nine, authority was given to this Council to raise a loan of Twenty-seven thousand five hundred pounds (.£27,500) for the tramway construction-and the purchase and erection of Stone Crushing Machinery and appurtenances; AND WHERE. AS in exercise of such power the Council raised the sum of twenty-six thousand pounds (.£26,000); AND WHEREAS tho moneys required for the completion of tho said works, for which tho said. Loan was raised amounts to the sum of .£25,G56 3s. Id. and no more, and there is a surplus amounting to .£313 16s. lid., which with moneys received for sale of spoil, etc-, which should be credited to Capital Account, makes the surplus -ESSS 12s. 4d. NOW THE COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES, by way of Special Order in exercise of the power vested in tho Council bv Section 105 of the Municipal Corporation Act, 1903, and of every and any other power enabling the Council in that behalf, that tho said surplus, of .£585 12s. id. shall l)e expended in the carrying out and completion of tho following works, namely— ~, „ (1) A Pavilion and Tea Room with all necessary adjuncts on tho Recreation Ground at aii estimated cost of.Two liundrod and twenty-five pounds (.£225). (2) A concrete wall and suitable gates on the boundary between the Main Road and the Recreation Ground at au estimated cost of two hundred pounds (.£200). (3) A retainiug wall on the north side of tho cnt'iii* on the Main Road known as Church Cutting at an estimated cost of thirty pounds (jSO). ' !
