DECISION EST DIVORCE. Yesterday tho Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) delivered reserved decision in the divorce petition iu which Arthur Easterby Stokes, butcher, of Aramoho, sought dissolution of marriage with Ada liosiua Stokes on the ground of desert iiii. Cecil Gooch was cit'ed as co-respondent, but tho ground of misconduct was not proceeded with. Jlr. J''. I'. Kelly appeared for the petitioner. Evidence, was to the effect that the marriage, of tho parties took place at Wellington on February 15, l!X)(i, and the wife had left her husband as the result of a certain conversation that had passed lwtwecn t'hom. Since then respondent had not resided with her husband, who last saw her on June 10 this year. His Honour, at the hearing, remarked that tho ovidenco was scarcely strong enough regarding the desertion and decision was reserved. In giving judgment yesterday his Honour held that in the particular circumstances of the case, the corroborative evidence of desertion submitted was sufficient. A decree nisi was granted to be made absolute in three month*
