WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY.
The Wellington Presbytery met at St. John's Church yesterday morning, when there were present: The Revs. L. Thompson (Moderator), W. Douglas, J. K. Elliott, W. J. Comrie, W. Sliirer, R. Inglis, B. Hutson, J. G. Smith, A. C. W. Standage, Dr. Gibb, and Messrs. M. Finlavson, J. Johnston, T. C. Brash, and W. A. Patterson. On tho motion of the Rev. J. Gibson Smith, seconded by Mr. T. C. Brash, tho Rev. A. Cameron, 8.A., of Anderson's Bay, Dunedin, was nominated as Moderator of tho General Assembly for 19121913. The Rer. A. C. W. Standage was appointed an additional representative to the General Assembly in Dunedin. It was resolved that, in view of tho misleading impression intended to be conveyed by the use, in the public press of tho Dominion, of the names and opinions of men associated with the Presbyterian Church, the Tresbytery of Wellington reaffirms its steady adherence to tho belief that the abolition of tho liquor traffic is tho best practical method available in New Zealand to-day for dealing with this great social evil.
