ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
The annual meeting of tho St. John Ambulance Brigade was held in tho Star Boating Shed on Monday night, when there was a very fair attendance. The annual report showed that the division had dona good work during the year— 118 persons were rendered first aid, tho majority of these being on tho football field. Many of theso cases were serious, but the treatment given in all cases was satisfactory. The division received the thanks of tho Wellington Rugbv Football Union, and also a donation of So 5s to its funds. The credit balance to date is «£5 ss. 4d., which is not very satisfactho present membership (thirty-six), some stretchers and other equipment are absolutely necessary to carry on tho work successfully. " Tho thanks of the division are again due to the Star Boating Cluh for generously granting the use of a room for all pracand also to assistant-commissioner H. H. need for the valuable assistance he has given to the division at all times
