FIRE-DAMP IN MINES.
A NEW DETECTOR INVENTED. By Telecraph—Press Association—Oipyrieht (Bee. October 10, 9.15 p.m.) London, October 10. A new fire-damp detector has been exhibited at the Glasgow Mining Association. Experts declare that it is an epochmaking invention, and will accurately register one part of fire-damp in four hundred parts of air.
