OUR MISS GIBBS.
For a musical comedy to run for eight and a half months in one city in Australia and to fill tho thentro tho whole of tho timo suggests something quito out of tho ordinary in tho way of tho ploy. Tho most cogent reason for tho uncommon success of "Our Miss Gibbs" can Crobably bo explained in its inherent rightness—the quip direct, tlio jovial stave, the laugh, care free, tho danco. the joyous whirl, and choruses that sot tho head nodding. Hie feet beating, aud tbo presence of a "star" low comedian with unlimited opportunity. It is avid that "Country Cousins," snag by Miss Blanche Browno and Mr. Bcrlie Wright in "Our Miss Giblis" is very fine. The different impersonations nro said to lie well-nigh perfect, while the "skatring" episode, is very funny. It takes a deal of artistry for a la<ly to fall continuously on the sU(jo in such a manner as to cause unbounded laiurhter, and at tho same time to be graceful otkl artistically within tho picture. Tho box plans for tho first six nights of the thirteen nights' season are now open at tlrc Dresden. Tho oponirtg night on Wednesday next will bo further distinguished by tho presence of his Excellency, Lord Islington, Lady Islington, and suite. Tho curtain will rise each evening' at a quarter to eight.
