A NEW ART SOCIETY IN AUCKLAND. (By TclcjrraDfl.—Press' Association.) Auckland, October G. The disaffected artists and others who seceded from tho Auckland Art Sooicty in a body when Mr. George George was not ro-oleoted president, have, met mid iwssod the following resolution:—"That in view of the fact that tho Auckland Society of Arts, as a result of tho recent animal meeting, no longer offers any inducement to tho aivists to continue to giro it their support, a now society bo formed, and tlint an acting'-comrnitteo bo appointed to draft a constitution, to report to a meeting one month hence, at which meeting tho officers will bo elected."
