LIST OF ENTRIES. The following is the list of entries received from various towns throughout New Zealand for the singing and elocutionary . sections in connection with tho annual festival of the New Zealand Competitions Society, to bo held in the Town Hall, Wellington, on October 25:— Elocution. There aro 18 pairs of entrants for tho duet "Watchman What of tho Night." There aro nine entries for the mixed quartette, and in addition to the local choristers, the Green Island (champions of Dunedin for four years), St. Andrew's (Christchurch), and Grafton Koad choirs have entered. The entries in the elocutionary section include: Dramatic recital (ladies), 38; sight reading, 10; character sketch (in costume), 30; humorous recital (gentlemen), 37; humorous recital (ladies), 31; musical monologue, -IS ;prepared reading, 15; dramatic recital (ladies), 33; dramatic recital (gentlemen), 33; impromptu speech, 18; prepared speech, 20; impromptu debate (pairs), 10; comediettas (sets), 12; dialogue, costume (pairs), 18; ladies' Shakespearean, 38; gentlemen's Shakespearean, .30; Shakespearean dialogue (pairs), 24!
