Ju moving the adoption of the annual repnrt and balance-sheet. ■ the • chairman of directors (Mr. J. C. IJoddington) stated that the total amount cf the society's loans as at August 31 last, viz., £48,682, was larger than at any previous br.l.vnco dale, with the exception of 1907 and 19C8. Money for investment on mortgage has been unusually plentiful of late. A euui of £8843 was granted in loans last year. The directors had had to refuse deposits. The society had' been able to increase its business and pay a dividend of 71 per cent. Messrs. J. 0. Boddington and F..C. Lewis were declared re-elected, directors of tho society,- whilst Messrs. W.
