The three new selections arc: Kylands (Taranaki), Campion (Waiignnui), and Kinrig (Wellington). It is understood that Kylands will take M'Uregor's place in tho lhrec-i|uartcr line. Ho is fairly fast, and n stronir viinner, but, apart from being fleet and difficult to stop, ho has no special qualifications. Campion lias not had many chances of measuring his ability with big coin- | pany, but he has done fairly well in tho Wanganui rearguard. CRICKET.

HUTT CLUB AND THE LEVY. A special general mooting of the Hutt District Cricket Club was hold at Young's Hotel on Tuesday evening. There. was a yood attendance, and Mr. G. 1 ,, . Judd occupied the chair. Tho chairman explained tfhat tho mooting had been called on account of tho fact that the association delegates hod raised .1 proposal to make a levy on plnvers to assist the association in reducing its liabilities. The Rev. Mr. Bawdcn Harris, who had been tho mover of tho motion relating to the levy, stated that his reason in doing Fo had iKfii because the association was badly in debt, and something had to bo done. Tho association had lost <£100 last year, and were now JiiOO behind. If this meeting so determined, however, ho itttonded to depart from his original motion, nnd at tho adjourned meeting would move: "That a levy of Cd. per member jicr week be struck on all players over tho ag« of 18 years, and a levy df 3d. per week, per member be struck on all players under tho ago of 18 years." Mr. Judd thought that there was no doubt that clubs should assist the association, but if the feu was only Cd, per week it would take two years to wipe out the debt. It was 1 pointed out that gates of representative matches oould be taken into account, and ono year would suffice. After some, discussion Mr. Harris added to his motion tho words: "For this season only." It was unanimously deci led that Ihe Hutt delegates ho instructo.l to voto for th« motion at the association meeting. It was further decided to support tho motion that levies bo collected weekly and remitted to tho association monthly. It was resolved that in the event of tho motion being carried tlio captain of <wch team in the Hutt Club collect the levies and hand them on to the secretary. An amendment was proposed 'by tho chairman, viz., "That the liev. Mr. Bawden Harris collect tho lovy." This was not seconded. MATCH FOR SATURDAY. A cricket match has been arranged betavocn Hutt and Wellington, and is (0 be played on tho Hutt ground next Saturday.
