TVTOTICE is hereby given that at a 1™ Special Meeting ,of tho Wellington City Council, held on tho 7th day of September, 1911, tho following Resolution was passed:— . Tho Wellington City Council hereby makes by Special Order the following Bylaw under and by virtue of and in exercise and in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in it by "The Municipal Corporations Act. 1908," and "Tho Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1908," and their amendments, and-of all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf. The Short Title of this By-law shall be "The Wellington City By-law No. 11 (Abattoir), 1911." Tho objects and purport of this Byi law are:— _ -: ' , 1. To and management' of tho Wellington City Abattoir.2. To conserve public health, safety, and convenience, and prevent-nuisances. 3. To prescribe the charges payable for the use of the abattoir, the housing and feeding of stock before slaughter, and the. slaughtering and dressing of stock. ' 4. To regulate the sale of meat in the City, and to provide for the licensing of meat vendors in the City, and tho regulation, control, and inspection of the meat supply of tho City. 5. To provide for the payment of charges fixed by the said By-law. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the said Resolution will'be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Wellington City Council to be held on THURSDAY, the sth October, 1911. at the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Cuba Street, Wellington, at 8 p.m., when the date on which the said By-law will come into force will be fixed.
