Mr. John Redmond, leader of the Nationalist -party, in unveiling the statue, said Pavnell had found the Irish peasants serfs and had made- them frco men., Tho Homo Bule movement was now in tho position it occupied beforo Paxnoll's death, and in addition the power of tho House of Lords to oppose, it had gone.
