Mills's question in reference to tho Coronation invitations prompted Mr. Mills to give notice of his iliterati on to move in the matter again on Wed-nesday-next. Mr. Mills'tabled tho following strongly-worded notico of motion:—

■ "That tho members of the Council aro . dissatisfied ( with tho orudo, undignified, and discourteous reply given by tho At-tarncy-General yestorday to questions on the Order Paper respecting tho Coronation invitations; also that the Council is dissatisfied with tho curt refusal to lay on tho tablo of tho Council any papers, correspondence, or cables relating to tho matter to which the Council is entitled, and which refusal, in my opinion, is au -insult to tho Council." .'Tho ATTORNEY-GENERAL remarked that he did not think this was a proper motion. However, he would be able to expirees his opinion later. BILLS. " T,ho Oamaru Municipal Exchange • and Market Reserves Leasing Bill was reported from the Local Hills Committee with a recommendation tiuit it bo allowed to proceed. Tho second reading of tho Bill was made an ordor of tho day for Wednesday next. Tho Waikowliai Park Bill was received from the House of Representatives and road a first time. '.' Tho ATTORNEY-GENERAL moved the third reading of tho Friendly Societies Amendment Bill, which was passed after b brief discussion. LAND .SETTLEMENT PROPOSALS. THE DEBATE CONTINUED. Tho Hon. W. W. M'CARDLE (Auckland) continued the adjourned debate on tho Hon. J. D. Onnond's motion that— "Tho.
