MASTERTON NOTES.
(From Our Src-tnl Correspondent) Masterton, September 27. The death has occurred of a well, known settler of this district, Mr. John M'Kay, of M'angaehu. Deceased came to Now Zealand from Scotland 35 years ago, and had resided in tho Wairarapa for 25 years. Ho leaves a widow and a family of eight. A hockey tournament takes place tomorrow in aid of Tho So)way Recognition Fund. The statement in the bankrupt: estate of Waller Burr, labourer, of Wailialceko, shows liabilities amounting to -E77 Os. Id., and assets nil. Tho chief unsecured creditors arc in Masterton.
