HARRIERS.

The Wellington Harriers assembled at Johnsonville on Saturday afternoon at the invitation of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Ellison. A general. "go-as-you-please was the order of the day,, and was thorougly enjoyed by all. . Somo very fine country, suitable for harrier running is to be found round Johnsouville and Ohariu. At the conclusion of the run, afternoon tea was provided, and a pleasant musical hour was spnat. The club captain returned thanks for the pleasant afternoon given by the host and hostess. Next Saturday s run is frem; Miramar, and is in connection with the Brooklyn Ulub. Tho. Brooklyn Harriers held their weekly ran on Saturday from Wadcstown. Them was a fair attendance, and tire run was thoroughly enjoyed. An 880 yards race was held, the points trained to count for tha Morris.All-Round Trophy. V. .T. Byrne won this event by four yards, F. Byrne jiist beating C. Murray for second place. A go-as-you-ploass run-in was instituted over tho last half-mile, and, owing to the captain (P. A. Wilton) knowing a short cut which saved rniich distance, he had no difficulty in winning by somo twenty yards. C. Murray and F. Byrne, were the next to finish. The Wednesday section run this week from Lyall Bay, as tho guests of Mr.. E. Vango.
