GIVE US A TRUE IDEAL.

OPINION OF A DAIRY EXPERT. Tho best class of dairy farmer (says Sfr. W. M. Singleton, of the Agricultural Dcpartmont, in his nnnuftl review of tho cow-testing associatinas) lias an ideal which is evidenced in many ways, such as the typo of dairy cow'ho keeps, feed he provides, and tho handling ho gives his cows. As a rule, tho typo is to a great extent indicative, of the yield, although there arc exceptions. Dairy fanners who have been striving, for a good trpe of cow, and have fed such a cow well,- and handled her kindly, have boon rewarded with a great measure of success. >

Mr. Singleton says ho is convinced that, owing to having the wrong ideal, many dairy farmers are tolerating cows which are not worthy of tho name of dairy cow.
