DOMINION DAY.
THE PROGRAMME. > The public celebrations of Dominion Day in Wellington will begin at 11 a.m. oji Monday, when tho scholars of tho public schools in the city will salute tho (lag. Tho Primo Minister, according to tho invitation of tho committee will address tho pupils of tho Terraco School. At 1.45 p.m. between tliroa t.nd four hundred cadets will arrive from tho Hulti and Jolinsonvillo and intermediate stations, and prooefd by special cars to Newtown Park, At 2.15 p.m. tho 6onior cadets, preceded by tho Highland Pino Band, will inarch from tho Garrison Hall, Bucklo Street, to tho Park. It is ex.pected that by 2,45 p.m. thoro will bo about 1500 cadets on parado. This number will co'mpriso boys from tho Amokura, a l>attalion of senior cadots, and four battalions of junior cadets. A. new battalion of oadets from tho city lias boon formed, witli Major Ersldno in command, and this battalion will appear for tho first time on Monday next. Special cars convoying members of botli Houses of Parliament will loavo Government Buildings at 2.20 p.m., arriving at Newtown Park at 3 o'clock. Tho Prime Minister and party will also reach the Park at the .sam© hour."-' ■ . . Their Excellencies, tho Governor and Lady Islington, will arrivo at the Park at 3.15 p.m. Tho Governor will review the cadots, who will be eeen in a marchpast and in review order. . In the evening the Highland Pipe Band will play through tho streets from Now town to tho Town Hall, and Jumi's Band will piny from Government Buildings to tho Town Hall, both bands arriving at their destination at 7.45 p.m, At 8 p.m. a citizens' retention, prosidod over by his Worship tho Ma3|or, will bo held in the Town Hall. Their Excellencies, the Governor arad Lady Islington, tho Primo Minirter and Lady Ward, and. members of both Houses, of tho Legislature will bo, prosent. Short addresses will bo delivered by Lord Islington and Sir Joseph Ward, and an attractivo musical programme will l>e rendered under tho direction of Mr. James Dykes. Mr. M'Laughlin will conduct tho orchestra.
