WELLINGTON NORTH CLUB. Tho annual meeting of the Wellington North District Cricket Club was held at the Occidental Hotel last night. Mr. A. T. Bate presided. The annual report, which was adopted, congratulated ■ the club on the measuro of success obtained last season, and regretted that the finances were weak. The committee had had hopes last jear that the membership of the club would be largely increased by tho introduction of a number of young players, but regretted to say that • their hopes were uot realised, very faw members having been added to the club. During the past season the headquarters of the club veio transferred to the Kelburue Pct'iv where a fair practice wicket had been prepared. This season a distinct impicvement was anticipated in tho jiractice wickets, and the season will commence at-ICelburne Park. Tho expenses of .the . club have .been kept down (bssible^ind 1 tho material had 'Ijctu'mil'de'to sft'Vo 'its' purpose to its fullest extent. The receipts were practically the s mo as they were the previous, season, and if the .club was to bo a success, tho receipts vould have to be largely increased, which meant that the membership n.er.ld »lsc_ have to be increased. Owing to the bowling averages being only partially kept, the correct averages for the season ci uld not bo made out. The club was represented in the Wellington representative -teams by Messrs. Blacklock, '•.'/illiains, Findlay, and Finlayson.
