By the end of September the London General Omnibus Company will have withdrawn tho last of the 1700 horse omnibuses under their control. Tho old vehicles are to be broken up and the horses aro to lie sold at auction, while the stables are to bo turned into garages. This will leave about 120 omnibuses of tho old horsedrawn pattern, owned and operated by private individuals. - They will,' perhaps, continue to enjoy a certain popularity, for there are many people in London who cling to old customs or fear tho dahgers attendant upon tho new ones. Many, too, are no longer activo enough to board a moving motor omnibus.
