The hearing of the Merchants' Servioe Guild industrial dispute was continued today before the Conciliation Council, Mr. P. Hally presiding. A provisional agreement was arrived at on all )x>ints except, ing one which has reference to the payment of overtime to officers. This ia being strongly opposed by the companies' representatives. It is stated that the provisional agreement arrived at moans, approximately, an increase ill wages of A'sooo nor allium in respect of ono company alone. The agreement is practically on the lines of ths Australian award. _ . Tho Council will continuo its sitting to-morrow in connection with ono point in tho dispute.
