Yongaza, of Berlin, beat Fairbairn, of Cambridge, _ for the amateur sculJiriEr championship of tile Netherlands after a groat struggle. He won by a length in Gmin. 52 1-fisec. The sculling championship of Holland whs won last year by M. JI. J. Knsik, of the St. Petersburg Boating Club, by three-quarters of a length. The course was 1700 metres in length, and the winner's time Grain. 38 2-s=ec.
