A wireless message received from tho New Zealand Shipping Company s steamer Rotorua last night staled that the ™ssel was expected to reach Wellington _at 10 a.m. to-day. Yesterdav afternoon the Scales chartered steamer Clan Ross left Wellington for Auckland, where the balanco of her cargo of hardwood will be discharged. From Auckland tho Clan Ross proceeds to Port Kembla, and thence to Bunbury. whero she loads another jarrall cargo for New Zealand ports. Owing to the exceptionally bad weather in the Strait, it has been decided to ean- • eel the Nikau's trip from Nelson to Wellington and back to-day. She will, however, pick up licr usual running to-morrow, and leaves port for Nelson at 5 p.m. on Thursday. Yesterday the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Waimate was docked at Port Chalmers prior to lcavi-n* for 'the other side," where she loads for Home. The Aparima is the next vessel to go in for cleaning and painting. To-morrow afternoon the Futiki will leave Wellington for Titnant. The vessel is undergoing overhaul at Wellington.
