« SUPREME COURT. Before leaving for rnliuerslon North yesterday morning, the Chief Justice (trir Kobert Stout) delivered judgment oil a somewhat important question of procedure. The point was raised on Saturday, when Itr. C. B. Morison appeared in support of a summons, and a motion (o ?et aside an order made for the citing of a fourth party in the casa of C. H. Izard, solicitor, v.* Francis William Scott, farmer, Tawa I'lat—a claim for MOO damages and .630 alleged to bo due for rent, llr. E. I'. Bunny appeared for tho plaintiff, and -Mr. JJ. G. Jellicoc for the third party. Tho rules provide for three parties, but they stop at that. His Honour decided tiiat there could bo a fourth party, and tho summons and the motion were dismissed. No order was made as to costs.
