An exhibition of narcissi and other spring flowers was rnado yesterday under the auspices of the Jiasterton Horticultural and Industrial Society. Tho display was in every way crcditalle, and will probably result in the spring show being mado a* permanent fixtine. Amongst the largest exhibitors tvero Mr. A. Booth, of Hawarden, Carterton, Mr. E. Hale, Dr. W. H. Hosking, Mrs. G. W. Sollar, Mrs. IT. T. Wood, and Coopers, Limited, of Wellington. Mr. David .Tones, orgai iser of the New Zealand farmers' Political Federation addressed two public meetings here last week, an 1 one at 'JL'onui yesterday. He speaks at £ketahnna to-morrow, and at Pahiatua nil Tuesday. Mr. T. W. M'Kenzie has presented a cup valued at ten guineas to tho Masterton A. and P. Association for competition at next show. It will bo awarded for the best pen of five pig^. At the annual meeting of tho Opaki ■Rille C'lr.lj tho report slowed tlie club to be in a satisfactory financial condition.
