A remarkable sorvico was held in tho Nottinghamshire village of Selstou recently, when tho inhabitants were celebrating their annual least. The vicar conducted nil open-air service, and preached from the church tower, whilst the choir led tho singing from the roof of tho south aisle, gaining access (o this ioftv position by climbing a ladder placed over the church porch. The congregation, numbering several hundreds, seated themselves on the grass or tombstones ot the churchyard.
