O ETNA HURLING OUT FIERY ROCKS. By Toleeraph—Press Assdciation-Oopyrishl Romo, September It. Soventy-seven craters on Etna axo erupting smoke and incandescent blocks to a considerable height. The central crater is hurling out fiery rocks weighing many tons. The lava is advancing at tho rate of 120 metres (about 131 yards) an hour, tho stream being 500 metres (olil yards) broad. The railway is flooded and impassable. A number of villas havo boon destroyed. A rain of ashes continues , to fall in Catania. ... The damage is estimated at .£250,000. Crowds of English and American tourists are ascending Etna. Earthquakes have'been felt at Florence, Vienna, and elsewhere. Etna's lava has destroyed the fertile district called Imboschiniento. •
