Alison, cx-M.P. for Waiternata, who has been requested by tho' Opposition party to contest the seat in its interests at tho coming elections, has definitely decided not to accept nomination. ' ' TAUMAEUNUI. Mr. James Bodie, for business and family reasons, has decided to retire from the contest for tho Taumaraunui seat. Ills place.will be taken by a well-known settler, Mr. U. K. Wilson, of Paeniako.
