NO-LICENSE CAMPAIGN.
Campaigning under the auspices of tho New Zealand Alliance, and its organisations is proceeding steadily though not very ostentatiously. Discussing the prospect of tho polls last everfin?, th* R«v. F. W. Isitt said that the -outlook was very hopofnl. Reports which had reached him from all parts of the Dominion and his own oleervations made him very hopeful tSa-t the icsul-ts, of the polls this year would show that gratifying progress had been made during the past three years. Regarding the bare majority, Mr. Isjtt said that the Prohibition party had nerfir gon« back on its demand for the only rational' basis of determining a referendum issue. There- was no justice in such a handicap os that imposed by the three-fifths majority.
