In order to test some special construction work a ear was taken over a portion of the new Customhouse Quay-Past Office tramline yesterday. As there is still a good deal of wood-blocking, etc., to be completed it is unlikely that the lino will bo ready for traffic for sonio time yet. All the market gardens in Southern Bulgaria were recently destroyed by floods, and many people fled to the mountains. It is estimated that the damage done anmunts to over £4,000,000.
