TO-DAY'S DINNER.
(Specially written for TnE Dominion.) THURSDAY. Vegetable Soup. Boast Pork. Apple Sauce. Baked Potatoes. Cauliiloiver. Baked Date Pudding. BAKED DATE PUDDING. 2oz. breadcrumbs, 4oz. dates (stoned and cut up), 1 apple (peeled, cored, . and sliced), i lemon rind (grated), 3 gills milk, 2oz. castor sugar, glace cherries, Angelica. ilix tho breadcrumbs, grated lemon rind, loz. of castor sugar, and the stoned dates, cut in small pieces. Grease a picdish with butter, and put a layer of tho crumbs, etc., in the bottom of tho dish. Cover with sliced apples, and then more crumbs, etc. Beat up the yolks of the eggs, add tho milk, and pour gently into tho pie-dish. Bake in a moderate oven for an hour. 'Whisk tho whites of eggs to a stiff froth, stir in the remainder of the sugar, and heap the meringue on top of the pudding. Dust with castor decorats with cherries and angelica, and put the pudding in a cool oven to set the meringue. Serve hot. FOE TO-MORROW. Sago. Stock. Fish. Lemon. Curry Powder. Turnips. Suet. Jain.
