HUTT AND PETONE NEWS.
(From Our Special Correspondent.! Tho annual smoke concert in connection with the Heretaunga 80-ating Club, Petone, was held in the boathoiise last evening. The attendance was excellent, and the entertainment, which embraced musi-' cal items, speeches, together with a, lengthy toast list, proved very enjoyable. Tli3 adjourned civil casss, J. H. Miller and Co. v. Michael Ford, in which plaintiff claimed .£29 is. 3d. for goods supplied, was concluded before Dr. M'Arthur at the Hutt Court yesterday. After hearing argument, judgment was given for plaintiff for and costs M 13s. Mr. Dix appeared for plaintiff and Mr. Cracroft Wilson for defendant.
