DROUGHT IN ENGLAND.

Manchester's water supply has been reduced to a twenty-six days' snpply. Bournemouth had an average of over twelve hours' sunshine a day throughout the month, and London had an averago of just over nine hours a day." Rainfall has been very patohy, but has not been much below the average in tho west and north. In the south and en?t there are a few places which havo not had any rain during the wholo month, but itt London /City) falls occurred on fonr days, totalling a baro inch. This is, of course, much bolow tho average, but tho falls on July 26 and 28 in tho sharp thunderstorms prevented tho month from being the driest July on record.
