THE NEW ZEALAND BUDGET.

A SYDNEY VIEW, By Telesraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, September 12. The "Sydney Morning Herald," in an article on tho New Zealand financial Statement, says: "Sir Joseph Ward's Budget onco again recalls the astonishingly sound and prosperous condition of affairs in New Zealand. Not only is the financial position of the country impregnable, but it becomes stronger every year. Sir Joseph Ward might well claim that his case is unique. "It is interesting to note," adds the "Herald," "that the era of academic legislation seems to have passed. The Administration of late has thrown itself more into the actual work of developing tho assets of the State. A really grave feature is the disappearance of the Crown lands. The problem of finding land for the people has become practically insoluble."
