FARMERS' UNION.

The monthly meeting of the Palmerston branch of the Farmers' Union was held on Saturday, Mr. .1. Balsillio presided. The chairman (ir.d secretary were empowered to make the necessary arrangements for Mr. Jones's meeting. Mr. K. Gardner gave an interesting address on land tenure and valuations, and received a hearty vote of '.hanks.
