Mr. James Macintosh, for many years manager of Dalgoty's, Wellington, has been joined in partnership by Mr. Edgar Lowdor Holmwood, late slieepfarmcr in (he Wairnrapa and Uawku's Bay districts, and by Mr. Albert Creaph O'Connor, late one of tho auctioneers of HaTgcty's wool and stock depart, meut. The experience of these gentlemen embraces all branches of (ho pas. toral industry, and their association together in business ought to nssnro a largo measure of success. The new firm will bo known as .Tames Macintosh and Company, and a suitable suite of offices in tho Hoynl Exchange Buildings, opposite (ho Bank of New Zealand, has been secured. Tho firm will carry on (he business of stock, station, and financial agents, auctioneers, valuators, land, commission, and shipping agents, ami in each of these departments one or oilier of the members has special knowledge and experience, Mr. Holmwood has. from his long experience as a siieepfarmer, a thm<v,r;h. practical insight into the requirements of those employed in (bat pursuit, and hi: association with Mr. Macintosh ami Mr. O'Connor, who are expert, nastoral commercial men, should do much in securing (heir clients every possible ndvantago and consideration, lii the matter of linanco (he companv lias special facilities for arranging loans on country lands, and for making advances against stock, iyool, and all kinds of produce.
