FORTY WORKMEN BURIED. REINFORCED CONCRETE. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright (Rec. September 10, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, Septemlwr 9. Forty workmen wrs buried by the collapse of a portion of the Eldorado Theatre at Nice, in tho Riviera. Sixteen bodies have so far been recovered from tho ruins. A few of tho men wero rescued alive, badly injured. Tho theatre was tho largest in Nice, and tho men were engaged on tho construction of a new annexo in reinforced concrete. Tho ceilings and walls of tho annexe, which was Hearing completion, suddenly collapsed, owing, it is believed, to hasty work, burying all below. Thero were heartrending scenes when tho workmen's wives on bringing their husbands' dinners found them dead. Tho victims wero mostly suffocated by dust, and wero horribly crushed.
