A meeting of unemployed this afternoon discussed the Prime Minister's telegrain offering work on tho Midland and Cheviot railways. The mecHng decided without dissent to a motion to the effect that if the Government guaranteed each man at least .£2 per week the work offered would be accepted. It is reported locafly that the Minister for Railways has authorised the payment of railway labourers at tho rato of Is. lJd. per hour.
